Virtus

Our Virtus™ is a neodymium-doped yttrium - orthovanadate laser (Nd:IVO4) named after the doping element neodymium and the host crystal. Like the fiber lasers, crystal lasers are among the solid-state lasers and are nowadays Diodes pumped. Unlike fiber lasers, these laser types have the quite expensive pump diodes as wear material, which must be replaced after approx. 15000 laser hours. In spite of everything, the Nd:IVO4 is still one of the most efficient laser crystals. VIRTUS ™ is an air-cooled, diode-pumped, solid state laser @ 1064 nm and is available in the power classes 10, 15 and 20 watts. The excellent beam quality makes our VIRTUS ™ laser the ideal marking tool for marking all metals, most plastics, electronic components and for tempering markings on medical implants and tools. The laser controller is in a compact 19" housing and offers a variety of communication- and diagnostic options. The active temperature control ensures a longer life of the diodes.
